This is the wonderful wedding of Aoife and Chris who got married recently in Glasthule Church in South Co Dublin. I started at the Church to get Chris welcoming the guests many of whom had travelled from England. The ceremony had so many beautiful touches but in particular Aoife’s Mum surprising the bride and groom by singing on the altar. After the ceremony we waited and greeted everyone at the church door. There was plenty of laughter and hugs for this popular couple. Then Aoife and Chris wanted to continue Aoife’s family tradition of marking family milestones such as communions by having their photo taken in the front garden of her family home. It took a little while for this shy couple to feel relaxed in front of the camera but soon they forgot I was there.
Kay and Paul travelled over from England for their wedding in Aughrim Church and Brooklodge and Macreddin Village in Co Wicklow Ireland. The day started in the Co Wicklow Hotel hidden away in the Wicklow mountains. I regularly photograph weddings in Brooklodge and it is like a little oasis of fine weather and heaven! After the ceremony it was back to the Wicklow hotel for the family portraits and Kay’s wish was to go down to the little chapel by the river for the bridal party wedding photographs
As a wedding photographer 2018 was just an incredible summer for weddings. Marie and Joy chose the hidden gem in Co Wicklow that is Woodenbridge Hotel near the popular village of Avoca in Co Wicklow for their intimate and very personal wedding. This was my first time photographing a wedding in Woodenbridge and I was very impressed with it. If you are looking for somewhere to do everything onsite and with an old fashioned rustic feel this could be the spot
This summer was just full of amazing weddings. This is Michelle and Barry’s wedding photography from the start of the Summer. It started in Gorey Co. Wexford at Michelle’s family home. I love the photo of Michelle’s wedding dress hanging up in her living room. Not a shot I love taking but in this case her father is looking at his own wife’s wedding dress. Michelle’s dress is in the centre and her sister’s on the left. Wedding photography is all about family and this house was the perfect family home.
Welcome to the unforgettable wedding of Kim and Mick in the unmistakable surroundings of Ballybeg House Co Wicklow Ireland. I absolutely loved being the wedding photographer for this amazing couple. Kim and Mick decided to have me start at the ceremony so, rather than getting the usual bridal preparations I started the wedding photography just before the ceremony began. Mick looked dapper and smart in his crushed blue velvet dinner jacket and dicky bow.
When you meet Aoife and Martin for the first time you notice something very quickly about them.... they are very in love! But not in a soppy way... very much in a way that they just want to laugh. They want to laugh and they want you to laugh too! Their wedding in the incredible Ballybeg House was just that... incredible!
This was an Irish Brazilian wedding with some bossanova and carnival style! Erika and Shane had a civil ceremony in the unbelievably beautiful Tinakilly Country House Co Wicklow Ireland. Many of Erika's friends and family traveled from Brazil for this stunning wedding. In true Irish fashion the day started out a little wet and overcast but by the time we went outside to the family photos the sun began to creep out!
This is the story of Carly and Sam who traveled from San Francisco for something very special in Ballybeg House Co Wicklow Ireland. Nearly all my communication was with Carly's Mum - Suzy. From the start I knew this was going to be a very special day and had to be involved... "We are a group of 13 revellers traveling from just north of San Francisco, California to Ireland for my daughter's wedding at Ballybeg house".
Amanda and Eamon's wedding in Ballybeg in Co Wicklow Ireland was all about family. Their family! I had such good fun going from Grouse Lodge to Ballybeg House trying to capture this shy couple before their wedding. But when they are together there is nothing shy about them at all! The day was full special moments and the ceremony had the most beautiful vows.
This is the wedding of Karen and Eoghan in Tulfarris Hotel Resort Co Wicklow Ireland. When a fellow photographer asks you to be their wedding photographer you better do a good job! Eoghan is the owner of F1 Camera Repair in Greystones Co Wicklow where I get all my cameras and lenses serviced. So when he asked if I was available to photograph their wedding in Tulfarris I was pretty chuffed and a little nervous. I had such a great laugh with all the guests and Tulfarris looked amazing.... so a big thank you for being so good to work with. I had a real ball photographing your wedding and I hope you like the wedding photographs! - Roger
Katy and Scott's wedding on St Patrick's Day in Ballybeg House was just sublime. There was so many things happening on this day yet Katy and Scott remained cool as cucumbers. From their first look in Grouse Lodge to the late night dancing. It was honour to be part of their day from our first meeting at my studio, The Portrait Rooms in Greystones to their pre wedding shoot they were just a pleasure to deal with.
Well.... this is my first wedding of 2018 and what a way to start the year! Elaine and Matt found the secret spot that is Ballybeg House and brought their families from West Cork and Meath to Wicklow to celebrate their wedding day! There was a little bit of snow on the ground but that did not stop Matt from jumping into the hot tub before setting off up to Grouse for his first look with Elaine.
This wonderful couple asked me to be their wedding photographer and I could not say no! Liane and Colm's wedding was so full of personal touches. Everything took place in the perfect setting of Summerhill House Hotel in Enniskerry Co Wicklow. With friends and family doing all the music and readings from Liane and Colm's favourite composers and writers.
When I met Kathryn and Damien back in May to discuss being their wedding photographer I could not have met better people. What struck me was how relaxed they were and how it was just like chatting with two old pals! I of course could not have been happier to be returning to Clonabreany House in Co Meath.
I could just not ask for a better couple to work with then Katie and Stephen both from Greystones. So easy going, calm and smiles and laughter all day long. Their wedding started with me photographing Katie with her Bridesmaids in the stunning Summerhill House Hotel in Enniskerry. As I arrived the girls were opening champagne and all laughing so I knew this was going to be a great wedding to photograph.
This was such a beautiful Winter wedding. Bringing together friends and family for Karen and Remi's very special day in Rathsallagh House Co Wicklow Ireland. It is always such an honour to be the photographer at weddings like this. Photographing weddings in December is always a challenge with the sun setting so early but we managed to get some photographs in the fab Rathsallagh gardens.
This wedding was an amazing experience. There were so many highlights for me as a wedding photographer. Firstly Lisa, her bridesmaids and family were so much fun to work with. When I arrived at her house in Wexford music was playing loud and the excitement was palpable. Lisa's dress hung majestically in her parents bedroom alongside her bridesmaids' rose gold dresses glistening in the Winter sun.
