What a pleasure it was to be the wedding photographer at Niamh and Ger’s spring time wedding in Clonabreany House in Co Meath Ireland. Thankfully it was a beautiful warm day with the sun coming in and out from behind the clouds …. Just perfect for wedding photography. I knew Ger from when I had The Portrait Room photography studio in Delgany so I was really looking forward to seeing him and Niamh on their wedding day! I started in Bray at Ger’s house where his family and groomsmen where all getting ready.
Katie and Craig got married on a beautiful April day in Kilquade Church Co Wicklow followed by an amazing wedding reception in Johnstown House Estate in Co Wicklow. The day started off in Katie’s parents’ home in Kilcoole, when I arrived the wedding craic was already in full swing with selfies and champagne! This was going to be a great wedding for my photojournalistic free flowing style of documentary wedding photography
When I met Avril and Adam for tea and biscuits I was totally taken in by the both of them. I loved their story. When Avril told me all the amazing things she had planned for shabby chic Easter themed wedding in Tinakilly House I knew I wanted to be their photographer! Especially when she mentioned she would be wearing an original 1940’s vintage styled wedding dress.
This summer was just full of amazing weddings. This is Michelle and Barry’s wedding photography from the start of the Summer. It started in Gorey Co. Wexford at Michelle’s family home. I love the photo of Michelle’s wedding dress hanging up in her living room. Not a shot I love taking but in this case her father is looking at his own wife’s wedding dress. Michelle’s dress is in the centre and her sister’s on the left. Wedding photography is all about family and this house was the perfect family home.
This was an Irish Brazilian wedding with some bossanova and carnival style! Erika and Shane had a civil ceremony in the unbelievably beautiful Tinakilly Country House Co Wicklow Ireland. Many of Erika's friends and family traveled from Brazil for this stunning wedding. In true Irish fashion the day started out a little wet and overcast but by the time we went outside to the family photos the sun began to creep out!
This is the story of Carly and Sam who traveled from San Francisco for something very special in Ballybeg House Co Wicklow Ireland. Nearly all my communication was with Carly's Mum - Suzy. From the start I knew this was going to be a very special day and had to be involved... "We are a group of 13 revellers traveling from just north of San Francisco, California to Ireland for my daughter's wedding at Ballybeg house".
Amanda and Eamon's wedding in Ballybeg in Co Wicklow Ireland was all about family. Their family! I had such good fun going from Grouse Lodge to Ballybeg House trying to capture this shy couple before their wedding. But when they are together there is nothing shy about them at all! The day was full special moments and the ceremony had the most beautiful vows.
This is the wedding of Karen and Eoghan in Tulfarris Hotel Resort Co Wicklow Ireland. When a fellow photographer asks you to be their wedding photographer you better do a good job! Eoghan is the owner of F1 Camera Repair in Greystones Co Wicklow where I get all my cameras and lenses serviced. So when he asked if I was available to photograph their wedding in Tulfarris I was pretty chuffed and a little nervous. I had such a great laugh with all the guests and Tulfarris looked amazing.... so a big thank you for being so good to work with. I had a real ball photographing your wedding and I hope you like the wedding photographs! - Roger
Katy and Scott's wedding on St Patrick's Day in Ballybeg House was just sublime. There was so many things happening on this day yet Katy and Scott remained cool as cucumbers. From their first look in Grouse Lodge to the late night dancing. It was honour to be part of their day from our first meeting at my studio, The Portrait Rooms in Greystones to their pre wedding shoot they were just a pleasure to deal with.
Well.... this is my first wedding of 2018 and what a way to start the year! Elaine and Matt found the secret spot that is Ballybeg House and brought their families from West Cork and Meath to Wicklow to celebrate their wedding day! There was a little bit of snow on the ground but that did not stop Matt from jumping into the hot tub before setting off up to Grouse for his first look with Elaine.
When I first met Deirdre you cannot help but just love her smile and big blue eyes! So I was only delighted to be asked to provide her with wedding photography and cinematography for her wedding in Tinakilly House Co Wicklow. The day started in her family home in Mount Merrion South Co Dublin where the girls got ready. The house was full of excitement as Deirdre's proud Mum and Dad let their home get taken over for the morning. Then it was on to the church in Ashford Co Wicklow.
Aileen and Chris were just the best couple in the world to deal with! Despite living in New York and organising their wedding from there they never go stressed or hassled and seriously knew how to party! The excitement in Aileen's home was contagious and Chris with all his family and friends were in the Westin were equally excited. Aileen originally from Blackrock Co Dublin wanted to include the sea and her home town in their wedding photography while Chris was looking for something a little more urban to represent his background as a DJ and club promoter in NY.
Emma and Paul got married on a beautiful sunny day in Kilquade Church near Greystones Co Wicklow and Druids Glen Resort. Wedding photography in these locations is just awesome! When Emma and Paul asked me to be their wedding photographer and they told me they wanted to go to the seafront in Greystones for their wedding photos I knew we were going to have a great day!
Abbey and Paul had a great day in Tinakilly house in Co Wicklow just up the road from my photography studio in Delgany. Their wedding photography started in Dundrum where Abbey wanted to get into her dress in her house before heading off to Tinakilly to do it all over again! The ceremony which took place in Tinakilly House was full of laughter.
