We love working with couples who adore photography but hate posing. Our approach is natural and unobtrusive — we believe the best wedding photographs happen in the moment, without you even noticing. Using quiet cameras and low-light lenses, we blend seamlessly into your day, capturing laughter, emotion, and the in-between moments that truly tell your story.
Nobody wants a photographer directing every pose on their wedding day. Instead, we gently guide you to ensure you always look and feel your best. Our goal is to create timeless, creative imagery while giving you space to be fully present — chatting, drinking, and laughing with your guests. These candid moments are where our creativity thrives. We are documentary wedding storytellers — capturing the heart of your day, naturally.

I’m a big fan of old film cameras — in fact, when I first started shooting weddings, digital photography didn’t even exist! I spent countless hours in the darkroom developing negatives and printing by hand. That foundation still informs how I shoot today: with intention, care, and a deep love for storytelling.
Whether I’m behind the camera or helping fluff your dress, top up your champagne, or fix a flyaway veil — I’m there to make sure you look and feel your absolute best.
I live in Greystones, Co. Wicklow with my amazing wife Emer and our three teenage children. We are Leinster season ticket holders and if I am not shooting/editing I am probably running in the woods, sea swimming or recovering in a sauna!

Hannah
Photographer
Hannah first reached out to me in 2016, shortly after returning home to Greystones from living in Canada and Australia. It was immediately clear that she had a genuine passion for photography and learning. Within just a few months of being the studio assistant, Hannah stepped confidently into the role of second photographer at weddings.
Since then, she was worked alongside some of Ireland’s most respected wedding photographers, including Michelle Prunty and Gareth Lima Conlon. Her calm presence, sharp eye, and natural storytelling instincts continue to elevate every wedding she’s part of.
Living in Dublin city centre she still has the travel bug and I love hearing about her adventures in Africa, Asia and beyond!

Chris joined The Portrait Room in 2016 as a photographer and videographer, and it was clear from the start that we worked incredibly well together. Wedding days can be long, fast-paced, and occasionally a bit stressful — so having someone by your side that you trust (and genuinely enjoy working with) makes all the difference.
Chris brings a calm presence, creative eye, and a love for the little moments — especially First Looks and speeches before dinner. Over the years, he’s become an integral part of the team, and has since evolved into a true hybrid shooter, offering both photography and videography.
Outside of weddings, Chris is a devoted Glastonbury fan — he’s attended the last eight festivals, including this year with his wife and one-year-old daughter.
Short and Sweet - Collection One
Documentary wedding photography starting at the ceremony until the dinner bell. This Collection captures all the most important parts of your day. From when you arrive at the ceremony location to walk up the aisle until the dinner bell sounds. A short couple portrait session and any bridal party or family photographs that are required. The rest of the time is spent documenting all those great moments that you do not want to miss. This collection is perfect for mid week weddings.
The cost is €1600 and includes an online gallery of beautifully edited high res digital photographs. Wedding albums, prints and thank you cards can be easily ordered through your online gallery. The One For Us - Collection Two
Documentary wedding photography starting at least two hours before the ceremony. Capturing all the joy and excitement of getting ready with your closest friends and family before you walk up the aisle. Right up until you are seated for dinner. The majority of the photographs are documentary in style but we always take our time that you are looking your best and in the right light for these moments. We are always happy to do any family and bridal party photographs that you would like throughout the day.
The cost is €2200 and includes an online gallery of beautifully edited high res photographs. Wedding albums, prints and thank you cards can be easily ordered through your online gallery. The gallery is ready within 3-4 weeks after your wedding day. The Most Popular - Collection Three
Documentary wedding photography starting at least two hours before the ceremony until late into the night. Starting with capturing all the joy and excitement of getting ready with your closest friends and family. Right up until the music is playing loud and everyone is on the dance-floor. The majority of the photography is documentary in style. We take our time to make sure that you are looking your best and in the right light for these moments. We are always happy to do any family and bridal party photographs that you would like throughout the day. If magic hour photography is something that interests you then this could be the wedding package for you. As we will always encourage you to get the most out of those gorgeous Irish sunsets. As well as doing any sparkler or night-time photographs you would like. When it is time to hit the dance-floor we stay for at least 20 minutes after your first dance is completed. Getting plenty of those late night fun party shots that will always make you laugh.
The cost is €2600 and includes an online gallery of beautifully edited high res digital photographs. Wedding albums, prints and thank you cards can be easily ordered through your online gallery. The gallery is ready within 2-3 weeks after your wedding day. The Family - Collection Four
Documentary wedding photography starting at least two hours before the ceremony until the dance floor is full and the party is in full swing. The Collection includes a second photographer from the pre-ceremony preparations until the dinner bell. So both wedding parties get equal coverage before the ceremony and nothing is missed during the ceremony and drinks reception.

The cost for The Family - Collection Four photography only with two photographers is €3900. This includes a beautiful handmade Art album 12x12 with 30 pages and two Parent albums (duplicates of the main album). A selection of beautifully mounted prints selected by The Portrait Rooms
You can also add wedding cinematography to this Collection. This includes one videographer from the preparations up until after the first few dances. Wedding videography at The Portrait Room includes an Instagram Reel, A short highlights film and an extended highlights film. Extended ceremony highlights and speeches in full. The cost for this Collection with Photography and Videography is €6900. Drone footage of the venue is included weather permitting.
When this Collection is booked for 2026 it includes 4 rolls of 35mm film (analogue) scanned and added to your online gallery at no cost. The look and feel of these scans will make you wish you had the entire day shot on film.
Travel and Accommodation fees will be charged for weddings outside of Leinster.
